Motorcycle Leather Jacket | Super Bike Jacket & Motorcycle padded Jacket | Super Bike Leather gear and Motorcycle Jackets.
Hi Motorcycle Biking Guys and Biking Gals.
We here at Racer Zone have decided to write regular articles on riding gear and safety, more importantly, what to look for when buying!
We all know that riding a motorcycle on the open roads we need adequate protection due to the fact that you are exposed on a motorcycle.
Yes the helmet is very important but so is the riding gear you are wearing when riding. Jeans and a t-shirt will not work guys.
We suggest you look at some leather motorcycling jackets and leather pants when riding your Super bike / Sport bike or motorcycle on the open road.
Most leather super bike riding gear will consists of padded inserts and protection. When purchasing a Superbike leather jacket please make sure you obtain a riding jacket with Hard Kevlar CE- Protectors that are FIXED into the Leather panels in the Elbow & shoulders. (Never buy a motorcycle riding jacket if the protectors are in the lining, this will cause the protectors to shift and could lead to a motorcycling injury.)
Some serous road riders would also look at a leather jacket with some back protection, no need to obtain one with built in protection on the back. There are optional hard Padded Kevlar Back protectors than can be purchased separately. This Back protector will then strap around your body underneath your suit or riding jacket. For the ladies that complain about the Kevlar being hard, there are softer option on the back protectors.
Believe it or not but one of the more important factors of riding gear is the ZIP. Yes when buying a Sportbike /motorcycling Jacket make sure it utilizes a YKK No. 10 Spiral zip. This will ensure your safety in case of crashing on the road when riding.
