Electric MX | KTM goes Electronic | Electric MX bike from KTM in 2010 !
We all know Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM and they now have promised to mass-produce the all-electric race-ready off-road motorcycle and plans to have the bike in showrooms 2010.
This exiting news was buried deep inside KTM’s financial report, which plainly says of the bike, “mass-production is planned for 2010.” Unfortunately technical information is slim for now.

Specs do however include a lithium-ion battery with a range of 40 minutes “under race conditions”. The bike will be powered by a motor generating 29.5 pound-feet of torque in a bike that weighs just 198 pounds (this is less than a 125 cc 2 STROKE). This torque you normally get from a 250cc 2 STROKE.
More is that, the bike runs silently, which could help preserve access to off-road areas – and perhaps open up new areas. EXITING!
