Motorcycle Insurance | Online Insurance Quotes
Motorcycle Insurance
When it comes to motorcycle insurance, it is important to obtain a few competitive motorcycle insurance quotes, because these quotes can vary markedly. The only way to be sure that you are getting a good deal is to compare different quotes. It is an unfortunate fact that some companies will quote you very dearly in the hope that you have not contacted anyone else and presume their insurance premium is fair and market-related.
Therefore, be entirely honest with them and tell them that you cannot give them a definite answer regarding their motorcycle insurance quote until you have heard from all the other insurance companies. This way, they know that you are shopping around and will reduce their quote to a reasonable amount. You can easily find several companies that offer motorcycle insurance by simply searching the term online. Take some time to complete each application form and wait until you have heard from them all.
They will probably call you back to discuss your motorcycle insurance quote with your over the telephone. This is because they cannot give you an accurate or final motorcycle insurance quote until they know exactly what the policy will look like. Therefore, the initial quote will change after you have spoken to the consultant – only once you have spoken to all of them can you compare final quotes.
To this end, remember that several factors will influence the motorcycle insurance premium you will pay:
• Your age. Young people are more expensive to insure because they are involved in more accidents.
• The retail value of your motorcycle.
• Location where the motorcycle is being ridden and kept.
• Type of use. A daily rider that commutes with his motorcycle is more expensive to insure than a rider that takes is motorcycle out over weekends only.
• Your claims history. People who claim more generally also pay a higher premium.
The types of motorcycle insurance
There are typically three types of motorcycle insurance:
1. Comprehensive cover. You would have to take out comprehensive cover if you have an expensive motorcycle or you are having it financed. Comprehensive insurance covers you against any type of theft, loss or accident, even if it were not your fault.
2. Third party, fire and theft. This type of policy covers you against claims from a third party in an accident, as well as fire and theft.
3. Third party only. This party covers only the damage sustained by a third party in the accident and none of your own damages or losses.
Casey Stoner | Who is Casey Stoner | MotoGP Rider Casey Stoner
Who is Casey Stoner?
Australian Casey Stoner is a professional MotoGP motorcycle racer since 2006. For the 2011 season, he races for the Repsol Honda Team and alongside teammates Adrea Dovizioso and Dani Pedrosa. He became World Champion in 2007 with the Ducati Corse team and he was also crowned Young Australian of the Year in 2008. He hails from Southport in Queensland and has been racing since he was four.
He proceeded to win his first race at age nine and the following five years saw him achieve over forty victories in dirt and long track racing and seventy state titles. He had always been driven to perform and nowhere was this more clearly illustrated than one weekend when he competed in 35 races and won 32 of them, scooping up all five of the available Australian titles up for grabs – at age 12!
Casey had steadily made his way up the ranks as a motorcycle racer, first with 125cc in 2003 and later the 250cc world champion class in 2005. MotoGP was the obvious next step and his career in this class started with a stint at Team LCR on a Honda RC211V, but he crashed several times. Success came in 2007 when he signed for the factory Ducati team and won his first MotoGP title.
Stoner had experienced health issues in 2009 and sat out several rounds due to persistent tiredness. He was misdiagnosed several times before it was discovered that he is lactose intolerant and he was back on form in 2010.

Despite a successful career and many successes, Stoner shies away from the limelight and prefers that his performances on the track demonstrate his true form. He has expressed regret at the loss of the “pure racing” 500cc days with racers like Doohan and Rainey, as opposed to the current MotoGP format.
Stoner is married to Adriana Tuchyna. He had met her in 2003 at Phillip Island we she approached him to ask if he could sign her stomach. The relationship started in 2005 and the two got married in 2007.

Husqvarna has taken all there is to love about the beating heart in the BMW F800GS, stripped it naked, cranked up the heat and stuck it in a new super moto. Meet the 2012 Nuda 900R. The 900cc parallel twin now turns out a heady 100 horsepower, and at 385 pounds dry, the bike is guaranteed to the kind of machine momma warned you about. Solid details beyond those scant specs are still scarce at the moment. It’s unclear exactly which markets will get the joy of calling the Nuda 900R their very own or how much the bike will cost when lands.
Chances are this creation will have an easy time locking horns with the likes of the Ducati Multistrada in the canyons and on quick commutes. Like the Italian, this Husky rocks few fairings and plenty of suspension travel.
The bike gets superbike-class brakes in the form of radially-mounted, four-piston monoblock Brembos. Apparently, Husqvarna is trying to get this bike into dealerships before the end of this year. It looks like more details will be revealed in a couple of days. You can find additional photos on a web site set up for the Nuda 900R– just our cup of tea.
